CrossFit 309 hosts the 2nd Annual Battle at Ball Park at Dozer Park.
CrossFitters are the perfect examples of building a community through physical fitness. Help us do the same with our military veterans.
We've seen the positive impact that CrossFit has had on people, not just physically, but mentally as well. We've seen the strong communities throughout CrossFit boxes across the country. That's why we're excited this year to select Team RWB as our charity to support. Team RWB is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans feel a part of their community through physical and social activity.
Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. Founded in 2010, Team RWB and its 100,513 members are bringing veterans, their families, and American citizens together through authentic social interaction, community physical fitness and shared experiences in over 172 communities across the globe. Find out more about this great organization at www.teamrwb.org.
We're proud to say that CrossFit 309 is veteran-owned. It was difficult to find a community after getting out of the Army and CrossFit has filled that void. Unfortunately, we have been personally impacted by fellow veterans that have taken their own life. We want to do something about it.
In smaller non-military communities, such as those in central Illinois, the resources just aren't readily available to help veterans suffering from PTSD. We hope you will help us. Just saving one life is well worth it.
